Zero Takes 2ND Place at EarthX
Zero was honored to win 2nd place recently at the EarthX Climate Tech Pitch Prize pitch competition. Zero had originally been picked from 180 applicants to make it to the Prize’s semifinals, and pitched to an audience of 2,600 people at the EarthX conference in Dallas. Zero, under Founder & CEO Grant Gunnison’s sharp presenting skills, proceeded to the finals of the competition, where he ultimately secured 2nd place.
Zero began its journey to the Climate Tech Pitch Prize through the IMPEL+ program in its Decarbonize Track. IMPEL+ is a Department of Energy tech-to-market program focused on technology for buildings that is funded by the DOE’s Building Technologies Office and implemented by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. IMPEL+ supports technology innovators by helping them “translate the premise and promise of their technology into the language of business." Impel+ has also partnered with the Austin Technology Incubator to provide additional resources and programming to startups
"It was a great experience to travel down to EarthX and be around a bunch of brilliant folks working on great new technologies," said Grant Gunnison Founder and CEO of Zero. "Being able to participate in events like EarthX has helped sharpen my vision, how to articulate it, and get people excited about what we're doing."
